Daisy Chain Nursery Crawley
We understand how important it is for you to feel confident about where your child is going to spend their time.
Our staff aim to get to know individual children extremely well. In this way, they can then provide an environment that is suitable for each child, whatever their needs. Some of our staff are parents themselves so fully understand what it is like to be leaving your child with someone else and we are passionate about reassuring you that we will do the best for your child.
Over the years, we have developed the nursery and used our experience and feedback from parents and visitors to help us do this. We have extensive experience in meeting the needs of young children and their families, and work hard at keeping the contact between us all close. We are confident in meeting your own and your child’s very individual needs.
Learning through play
We aim to provide exciting learning opportunities for children to use all their natural creative skills. This is done through a range of activities including music, artistic and creative materials, sensory equipment, all of which allow the children to explore and investigate using all their senses.
Children need to be nurtured and learn through play. Every child is allocated a key-worker, and this practice establishes a sense of both security and safety within which the child can develop and learn. We respect the individual needs and abilities of each child in our care, adopting a child-centred ethos and following a set of principles linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Ofsted Report 2026
Daisy Chain Nursery in Crawley provides a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children are supported to feel happy, confident and secure. In its January 2026 inspection, Ofsted found that safeguarding standards were met and recognised strong practice in behaviour, routines and inclusion.
The report highlighted the nursery’s nurturing staff, positive relationships, engaging curriculum and thoughtful support for children with additional needs. It also noted that children make secure progress, develop independence and benefit from rich learning experiences that build communication, confidence and curiosity.
Families can be reassured that children are cared for by responsive staff who know them well, value their individual needs and help them thrive from the moment they start.
