Who We Are?

Daisy Chain Nursery Crawley

The Daisy Chain Nursery is registered with Ofsted and we aim to meet the Early Years Outcomes and Statutory Framework issued by the Department of Education. Our current Ofsted Ratings for both sites (Babies and Pre-School) are OUTSTANDING in all areas.

We understand how important it is for you to feel confident about where your child is going to spend their time. Our staff aim to get to know your children well. In this way they can then provide an environment that is suitable to the children whatever their needs. Some of our staff are parents themselves so fully understand what it is like to be leaving your child with someone else. We are passionate about reassuring you that we will do the best for your child.

Over the years, we have developed the nursery and used our experience and feedback from parents and visitors to help us do this. We have extensive experience in meeting the needs of young children and their families, and work hard at keeping the contact between us all close. We are confident to meet your own and your child’s very individual needs.

Our nurseries in Crawley are based across 2 sites, 100 metres apart, with one being a dedicated facility for children under 3 and the other being focussed on children over 3 and therefore preparing them in readiness for school. This means that we are able to devote special attention in each location to ensure your child gets the perfect mix of care, development and fun!

We plan the environment around the inspiration of Reggio Emilia. Within this we aim to provide exciting learning opportunities for children to use all their natural creative skills. This is done through a range of activities including music, artistic and creative materials and sensory equipment. Our aim is to allow the children to explore and investigate their environment using all their senses.

Children need to be nurtured and learn through play. Every child is allocated a ‘key-person’ so each child is fully supported by a team member. This helps to nurture a familiar, safe and secure environment for each child to learn. We respect the individual needs and abilities of each child in our care, adopting a child-centred ethos and following a set of principles linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
